Lufthansa‘s multi hub system continues: 5,5 million passengers from Italy in the first nine months. The corporate segment tends to get most attention and new long haul routes are announced from next summer.
At the Christmas meeting with the press, held in Milan, the Lufthansa Group traced a positive pattern of his presence in the Italian market: 5,5 million passengers from Italy in the first nine months to the respective hubs in Germany (Lh), Austria (Austrian), Belgium (Brussels Airlines) and Switzerland (Swiss), for an increase of 1, 7%, which corresponds to a 0.4-0.5% increase in sales ticket (Bsp).
“Italy remains the biggest market in Europe and the third in the world after Germany and the United States” – said Thomas Eggert, General Manager Italy at Lufthansa.
